Edmund Ohawkin on Complainte of Elizabeth Mackale who Averd y^t: he begott the Chilld borne of her
body last y S^d: Edmund denies the Same the Judgem^t: of this Co^rt: is that Edmund
Ohawkin is y deputed ffather borne last on the body of Elizabeth Mackale & orders
that he give security in 4000^lb: tobacco to Save the County harmlesse from Charge
of bringing up the Chilld till Comes to age alsoe Security in x^p: money Sterl
to the R^t: hon^rble: the Lord Prop^ry: Duering the Courts pleasure for behaviour
Arnold Elzey acknowledgeth himselfe indebted before
the Co^rt: in the summe of four thousand pounds of
tobacco that the County Shall be at no Charge of bringing
up the Child untill it Comes of age borne of Eliz^a:Mackale
Edmund Ohawkin & Arnold Elzey acknowledgeth to Stand indebted to the
R^t: hon^r:ble the Lord Proprietary in the Summe of x pounds money Sterl
to be Levied on theire or either of their Lands tenem^ts: goods & Chattles
to be p^d: to the said Lord Prop^ry: his heires successors of assignes
The Condicon is Such that if the above bound Edm: Ohawkin be of the good abearance untill released
from & by ord^r: of this County Co^rt: of Som^r:set then to be void else to Stand in full force & vertue

Mabell Bound the wife of Jn^o: Bound Mabell Bound appeares & puts herselfe upon the Court to be tryed

Somerset County Ss And whereas John Bound & Mabell his wife were Summoned to answ^r:
what Shoulld be objected ag^t: them in behalfe of the R^t: hon^r:ble the Lord
Proprietary and whereas the Said Mabell bound hath in Contempt of his
Lopp^s: Authority not onely received and in secret Consealed but also in Contempt
of his Lopp^s: officers detained & after Severall Civill? treaties to surrender
to Surrender up his Lopp^s: prissoner vizt Katherin Omulin alias Draper did
Speake seall? injurious words ag^t: the Power aforesaid by his Lopp^s: in this -
County and therefore his Lopp^s: attorney Craves Judgem^t:
warrant Signed by m^r: James Dashiell produced & read vizt
Som^r:set County Ss whereas Complainte is made this day by Roger Burkum SubSherife of the County
aforesaid he had attach by vertue of A writt of presentment the body of Katherine
Omulin and that you Mabell Bounds doth detaine his prisson^r: from him
These are in the name of the R^t: hon^r:ble the Lord Prop^ry: to will & Comand you Mabell Bounds
for to deliver up the said Katherin Omulin unto the aforesaid underSherife hereof faile
not at yo^r: perill given under my hand this 8^th: day of December Annoq Do^m: 1687

After the Deposition of John Draper & Roger Burkum being taken & ex^a: upon oath doe finde
that Mabell Bound hath made a Contempt ag^t: Authorite And therefore ord^rd: that She
pay unto the Lord Proprietary for Contempt five hundred pounds of tobacco the Sherife to take
her into Custody untill She gives Security for paym^t: of the Same as alsoe y^t: She be of y good
behaviour Duering pleasure the Sherife to take Security for the Same in the Summe of Ten pounds
