Know all men by these presents that I William Seamore of Som^r:set County Grants me my
heires executo^rs: & adm^rs: to pay or Cause to be well truly paid unto John Strawbridge of the
County aforesaid his heires executo^rs: & adm^rs: the full & Just sum of six hundred &
seaventy eight pound of good marchantable tobacco to be p^d: the next gber w^ch: Shall
be in the year 1687 as wittnes my hand and Seale this 4^th: day of Xber A^o: D^o: 1686
It is to be understood y^t: the said quantity of tobacco is to be paid in any
place Convenient in Somersett County this done before Signing & Sealing

that W^m: Seamore pay unto Jn^o: Strawbridge or his ord^r: Six hundred Seaventy eight pounds
of tobacco & Cost of Sute alias execucon / ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Som^r:Sett County Ss William Seamore late of this County was attached to answ^r: unto John Strawbridge
in an accon of Case/
And whereupon the plte by Thomas Poole his Attorney Comes & Saith that he the S^d:
Seamore Came indebted unto the plte the full & Just Sume of four hundred Sixty Two
two pounds of tobacco as pr acc^ot: here in Co^rt: produced the w^th: he the S^d: Seamore
Did faithfully promise to pay unto y plte when thereunto required but he the
Said Seamore fraudulently intending the plte to deceive of the Sume aforesaid
doth denie & Still doth denie to pay the Same although often thereunto required
by the plte whereupon the plte Saith he is Damnified & hath Damadge to the value of
nine hundred pounds of tobacco & thereupon brings this Suite / ~ ~ ~

Strawbridge before the Co^rt: made oath upon the holy Evangelists that the aboves^d: acc^ot: is
a Just & true acc^ot: & nothing thereof paid
And thereupon this Co^rt: orders that William Seamore def^t: pay unto Jn^o: Strawbridge
plte or his order four hundred Sixty & Two pounds of Tobacco with Cost of Sute
