Somerset County Ss William Seamore late of this County was attached to answr: unto John
Strawbridge in a plea of Debt &c. /
And whereupon the plte by his attorney Thomas Poole Comes & Saith yt: he the Sd: Seamore
upon the fourth day of December last past became indebted unto the plte y full & Just
Summe of Six hundred Seaventy & five pounds of tobacco as will in Cort: more plainely
appeare as pr bill undr: the hand & Seale of him the Said Seamore bearing date as aforesd:
& here in Cort: produced the which sume he the Sd: Seamore did faithfully promise pay
unto y plte according to the tenor of y Said bill but he the Said Seamore fraudulently
intending the plte to deceive of the aforesaid sume of 675lb: of tobacco doth denie & Still
doth denie to pay the same although often thereunto required by the plte whereupon
the plte Saith he is Damnified & hath Damadge to the value of 1300lb: of tobacco &
& thereupon brings this Sute / Jno: Doe

These presents Shall oblidge me William Seamore of Somr:set County me my heires executors:
or admrs: to pay unto John Strawbridge or his order upon demand the full & Just summe
of six hundred Seaventy five pounds of tobacco at some Convenient place in y County
aforesaid as witnes my hand & Seale this 4th: day of December Annoq Dom: 1686
