William Round plt: The deft: not appeareing Ordered that the sheriff take him in
agt: Custody and him safely keepe Soe that he has his body before our
William Morris deft: Justices of our Next County Court to be holden the Second Tuesday

John Webb plt: Sumrsett County Ss -
agt: William Robbeson of this County was Attached to answer
n:s: Wm Robbeson deft: unto John Webb inholder in a plea that he render ffour hundred
Pounds of Tobaccoe wch: he Oweth and unjustly detaineth
And Whereupon the plt: by Thomas Poole his Attourney Comes and Saith that
he the said William in or About the Mounth of August last past did assume upon
himselfe and faithfully promissd to pay unto the plt: the full and just Sume of ffour //
hundred pounds of Tobaccoe upon the Accompt of Robert Paine late of this County deced
but he the said William fraudulently intending the plt: to deceive of the Sume aforesaid
Not regarding his promise nor assumption denieth and Still doth denye to pay the Sume
of ffour hundred pounds of Tobacco although often thereunto required by the plt: /
Whereupon the plt: Saith he is damnified and hath damage to the Vallew of Eight
hundred pounds of Tobaccoe and thereupon brings this Suite &t:
And the deft: by John Taylor his Attourney Cometh and defendeth the force
and Enjury when &t: and prayeth liberty to Emparle hereunto Untill the next County
Court and it is granted him the same day is granted to the plt: Likewise - - -
Now here at this day Vizt: the 13th: day of June in the xiiiith yeare of the Domion of the
Rt: honoble: Charles &t: Annog Domi 1689 Came the said parties by their Attournies aforesd:
and the said William Robbeson by his Attourney John Taylor Saith that the plt: his accon
he ought not to have for that he hath not enterd his Accon According to Law & therefore
prayeth judgmt: of the declaration aforesd:
Whereupon it is Considered by this Court here that the declaration of the plt: is not
Sufficient to Maintaine the action aforesd: and therefore Ordered that the said John Webb
take nothing by his said Writt but be in Mercy for his false Clamour and that William Robbeson
goe thereof without day And it is further Ordered that the said William Robbeson recover
against the said John Webb the Sume of of Tobaccoe for his Cost in this
behalfe laid out according to the forme of the statute &t: - - -

John Doe = plt: - Sumr:sett County Ss / Hope Taylor of this County was attached
n:s: agt: To answer unto John Doe of Accomack County in Virga: of a
Hope Taylor deft - plea of Trespass on the Case &t
And whereupon the plt: by Thomas Poole his Attourney Comes & Saieth that
he the said Hope Taylor upon the eight day of October Anno 1687 became indebted
The plt: the full and just Sume of Eleaven Thousand pounds of good sound Merchantable
Tobaccoe and Casque to be paid Upon Demand to the plt: his heirs Executors: or Admrs: or --
Attourney as will in Court more plainely Appeare as pr bond Obligatory under the hand
& Seale of him the said Hope Taylor and here in Court produced wherein he the said
