That he the said James upon the 20th: day of ffebruary last past did bind himselfe
his heirs executors: or admrs: in a bill under the hand and seale of him the sd: James -
for the payment of ffourteen hides According to the Tenor of the aforesd: bill wch - bill we -
have & here in Court producd but he the sd: James fraudulently intending the plt: to deceive of

required by the plt: whereupon the plt: Saith he is damnified and hath damage to the vallew

province aforesd:Tanner doe acknowledge and Confess my Selfe to be firmly and justly indebted unto

of Seaven good Suffitient large well Tanned hides of Sole Leather and alsoe Seaven good -
Suffitient upper Leather hides well Curried to be well and truly paid at or before the Tenth day
of August next that Shall happen it being for a vallueable Consideration to the true performance

That Whereas your peticoner in the yeare of our Lord 1686 upon the Last day of the aforesd:
Mounth your peticoner did Covenant and agree to and with John Johnson planter for the Term
of ffour yeares Service to Serve him in Such Service as he the sd: John Should Employ
him and in Consideracon of the said ffour yeares Service the said John did Oblidge himselfe
To make a perfect Cure of a Soare Legg and Scald head your petioner haveing served //
The said Johnson Two yeares of the time aforesd: for his Cure but he the said Johnson
Sould your peticonr: unto Samuell Handy for the other Two yeares where your peticoner
is now a Servant and hath noe Cure Whereupon your peticonr: humbly beggs your Worships would//
be pleased to Consider your poore peticoners Condition & to order him Some Satisfaction & to Clear
him from the remainder of his Time Soe that yor: peticoner may Looke for a Cure Else where =
