And Sworne to say the truth in the premisses upon their Oaths doe say wee of the Jury doo -
Not finde Robert Cattlin guilty of Inditemt: - - - -
Whereupon it was Ordered by this Court that the said Robert Cattlin give good & Sufficient
Security as well for his behavior: as for his appance every Court dureing pleasure & paying officer ffees
Then Came Robert Cattlin with his Sureties Thomas Poole and Stephen Coston & did acknowledge
Themselves to be owing and stand justly indebted unto the Rt: honoble: the Lord propry: his heirs
or Successors: vizt: Robert Cattlin in the Sume of Thirty pounds Sterling and Thomas Poole &
Stephen Coston in the Sume of ffifteen pounds Sterl: apeice to be Leavied on their goods and
Chattles Lands and Tennements for the use of the Lord propry: aforesd:
The Condicon being such that if the above bounden Robert Cattlin be of the good behavior: towards
all good people and more Expecially towards Thomas Everdon and ffamilly and will also make -
his personall appance every Court held here in this County dureing pleasure as alsoe pay all -
Officers ffees due from him then the Above Obligacon to be void Otherwise to remaine & be -

// The Jurors for the Rt: honoble: the Lord propry: At a grand Jury held the Second Tuesday
In November last past doe present and finde that Elizabeth Ellis the wife of John Ellis Senrr:
of this County Labourer hath feloniously Stolne and Carried away from the house of John Reed
Late of this County deced while as the said John Reed lay upon his death bed and under pretence
of visiting the Sick did as said is Steale and Carry away severall goods and Comoditties from the
Said Reed vizt: one Cloath Sarge petticoate one Irish frize Wastcoate wch: things she wore with
Other things Caried away unvallued, The things vallued worne on her back To the vallue of five
hundred pound of Tobacco and the same hath made use off and detained from the Orphans of the -
Said John Reed Now his Lordpps Attourney Comes and saith that the said Elizabeth hath
Wickedly and feloniously Contemned his Lordshipps good Lawes & institucons of this province =
as also the Sacred and devine Lawes of Almighty God & agt: the publick peace Craves judgment
May be entered agt: the said Elizabeth according to Law in that Case provided &t:
Then Came Elizabeth Ellis aforesd: in her proper person and for plea pleads not guilty and for her
Treyall put herselfe upon the Countrey &t:
Upon which Comand was given to the Sheriff of this County to cause to Come here Twelve good & Lawfull
men of his Bayliwick by whome the truth of the Matter might be the better knowen & who neither
&t: to recognize &t: because as well &t:
Now here at this day to witt the 12th: day of June in the xiiiith: yeare of the Domion of the Rt:
honoble: Charles &t: annog Domi 1689 Came the aforesd: Elizabeth Ellis to the barr and the -
Jurors: of that Jury likewise Came Vizt: John West William Demcem George Lane John Heath
William Waller William Richardson Hope Taylor Samuell Marchment Thomas Morris
John Jones Walter Talbort and John Barker who to Say the truth in the premisses being
Elected Treyed and Sworne upon their Oaths Doe Say Wee of the Jury doo find Elizabeth
Ellis guilty of fact // Whereupon it was Ordered by this Court that Josias Seward and
Samuell Collins Doe Examin what Cloathes the said Elizabeth Ellis had belonging to
