The 11th day of June 1689 108
The peticon of Willimott hill Shewing how that she had kept one Thomas =
Clark ever Since he was One yeare old and Never Since hath been Allowed
Any thing for the same he being an Orphant humbly prays that your peticoner
May have Allowance for the same Otherwise that he might be bound over to
Your peticoner according to Act of Assembly & your peticoner will pray - - -
This Court haveing taken the premisses into Consideracon Ordered that the
Said Thomas Clark remaine with the said Willimott Hill and her to Serve in
Such Servitude as She or heirs will Employ him untill he attaines to One &
Twenty yeares of age according to Act of Assembly and further Ordered that
The said Willimott hill give unto the Aforesd: Thomas Clark a Cow next yeare
the said Cow with her increase both male and ffemale to remaine and be for the
Use of the said Thomas Clark and his heirs or Assignes for ever, wch: the said
Willimott hill in Open Court did promiss to doe &ca: being in Consideracon of
his said Servitude and further that she allow him Suffitient Meate drinke =
Washing Lodging and apparell dureing the said Time of his Servitude &ca:

The Peticon of Margarett Reed shewing how that she Served her time of Servitude
To Lawrence Cranford of Pocomoake River for wch: there is become due to yor: peticonr:
by the Custome of the Countrey as by a certaine Act of Assembly Entituled an Act
Relateing to Servants and Slaves made Anno 1666 = a good Cloath Suite either of Kersey
or broadcloath a shift or white Linin to be New one paire of New Shoes & stockins &
Three Blls: of Indian Corne all wch: your peticoner have Modestly demanded of the =
aforesd: Lawrence Cranford her late Master but he fraudulently and purposely intending
To deceive your peticoner of the aforesd: Corne and Cloathes have refused to pay & Still
Doth denye to pay the same your peticoner humbly prayes for Order that the provition
as abovesd: may be made her according to Law and as in Duty bound will pray - - -
This Court haveing this day the premisses taken into Consideracon and finding that
Lawrence Cranford aforesd: is not present to answer for himselfe unto the peticon aforesd:
Ordered that the aforesd: Lawrence Cranford appeare next Court to be holden the second
Tuesday in August Next there to answer unto the Complaint of the aforesd: Marg(arett)

The Peticon of Madm: Elizabeth Stevens and mr: Edmund Howard Shewing
how that Some ill affected persons to your peticoners have lately made and still doe
make a horse Roade to Rehobeth Towne through the Lands of your peticoners to the
greated damage and prejudice of your peticoners and therefore doe humbly desire that the
Old Roade to the said Towne may be Ordered to be Continued which hath been a Roade
This Twenty odd yeares and your peticonrs: as in duty bound will pray
Upon Information made to this Court by the aforesd: mr: Edmund Howard of the persons
That use through the peticoners Land namely Allexander Maddox Jno: Perkins & J----
Hinderson Ordered they appeare next Court to be holden the Second Tuesday in August
