At A County Cort helld the 28th day of January in ye Ninth year of the Dominion of y Rt honr:ble Charles &c
Annoq Dom: 1683 before his Lopps Justices thereunto assigned & Authorised
Collo; William Colebourne
present Capta: Henry Smith mr William Brereton Commrs
mr: Roger Wolford major Ambrose London
Whereas this Cort Judgemt John Rouch of this County hath reported that there was ffour
Thousand pounds of tobacco payed out of y County for according make up enough
The Said John Roch appearing ownes the report but with his author as John Barnet (Security of) y John Barnet
was summoned to appeare to answr y premisses next County Cort ord yt John (Meling or to) his wife & ffrancis Martin
be sumoned agt next County Cort & that John Roch give security to prosecute y alligacon then ffrancis Martin appeares
& became Security for appr of John Roch in y Summe of 9£ money sterl. yt end & purpose plea to y Lord Proprietary

Ordered That Thomas Williams be summoned next County Cort to answr what shall then & their be abucted
agt him & George Watt to be summoned on y behalf of his Lopp agt the said Thomas &c

Whereas Williams Lewis Emmanuel a negro & Joseph Knight all three belonging to Collo Wm Colebourne
in their proper persons for not doing their Duty on his Lopps high waies being summoned by John Kirke
overseer of his Lopps high waies Collll Colebourne appears & in their behalf ( & made oathe? )
before y board yt he had sent out Two of his family whereupon the sd Colebourne was dismissed

Whereas Isaac noble made appear before the board yt Joseph ffreeman stood indebted to him y just
summe or quantity of Two thousand pounds of Tobacco the said Joseph ffreeman appearing in
his proper person before the board Confest Judgemt for the same whereupon the Cort orders yt Joseph
ffreeman pay or Cause to be pd forthwith to Isaac Noble the Said Two Thousand pounds of tobacco
with Cost of Sute alias execucon ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

The Same Day Commrs as afore & furthr Sitts Capta Browne & Capt Osborne
Whereas Mary Clips was amerced at A Cort helld in June Annoq Dom 1680 Twenty dayes work
on his Lopps high waies when thereunto required by the Cort Wm Beder securitie by recognisance to see
the same performed &c also Stephen Barnett was amerced fifteene Dayes work on his Lopps high waies
when there unto required by the Cort: John Vigerons to see the Same performed by recognicance taken ( )
Janry Cort 1682/ The Cort: this day orders That the said work be forthwith performed by tweene the
Sea side & Pocomoke river where Capta: John (Gibbons?) Shall appointe And upon neglect or refusal
Execucon agt John Vigerons & William Beder y Securities of Mary Clips & Stephen Barnet /

Chilld ownes her fact saith yt the father of her Chilld is Robert Smith ordered yt for her fact the Sherife
take her into his Custody & her well lay on upon the bare back Ten stripes wch is executed & furthr ordd
yt Robt Smith be summoned to appeare next County Cort to answr & yt Mathew Baker appears then to (present?)

agt: next Cort: to answr and yt Margaret Hall appeare then alsoe

Whereas Thomas Roberts by Common Caps issued process agt John Clarke of this County the Said John
Clarke Confest judgemt before the Board to him the sd Thomas Roberts for twleve hundred pounds of tobacco
whereupon this Cort ordrs that John Clarke pay unto Thomas Roberts Twelve hundred pounds of tobacco
& Cost of Sute alias execucon

Whereas John Webb humbly Craves order that he might be permitted to keep ordinary at the Court
house wch is grannted he observing Acts of assembly & rules of Cort of in such Cases is provided
