This may Certifie yt Robert Hardy brought before mee Lyonell Care a Servant of his & made itt appeare yt this --
Servant Lyonell Care had adsented himselfe from his Service by running away thirty Dayes & halfe likewise
y abovesaid Lyonell Care without Compulsion Did owne this above written before mee : / : John Winder: /:

To y worshipfull Court of y County of Somrsett y humble petiton of John Perice: / :
That whereas itt hath pleased God to visit your poore humble petitioner yt hee hath not beene able to helpe him
Selfe not soe much as out of bed nor in bed this quarter of this nor hath not any thing to releive him but which
yor poore petitioner hath received of Cornelius Johnson & Doth lye in great Danger of perishing through poverty
unless yor worspps Charity Doth take Care of him yor humble petitionr hath been all this time att Cornelius
Johnsons att great Many & Cornelius Johnson hath paid away two hhds of Tobacco to y Doctor for my use other
wise yor petitionr had perished before now these things yor poore humble petitioner Doth humbly Crave
of yor worshipps to take itt into yor wise Charitable Consideracon in Soe Doeing yor poore humble petitioner

To all Christian people to whome these presents Shall Come Knowe yee yt I: George Lane of Somrsett
County in y province of Maryland planter Doe for many Causes & Consideracons mee thereunto moveing give~
grannt make over & Confirme and by these presents Doe give grannt make over & Confirme unto Alice Hall y
younger y Daughter of Charles & Alice Hall of this County of Sommersett one Two yeare ould black heifer with
a white Starr in her forehead & the end of her taile white & white belly Commonly knowne or Called by the
name of guift marked as followeth Cropt of y left eare & one Slitt in y Crop with a nick underneath y Sd ear
The right ear one Slitt in itt the said heifer & her female increase to her y said Alice Hall y younger for y
terme of ten yeares and then to have & to hold the Said heifer & her female increase and afterwards both
male & female as her proper goods forever to y only proper use & behoofe of y said Alice Hall y younger her ~
heirs or assignes This heifer with her increase to runn with y Stock of y said Charles Hall untill y said Alice
attaineth to y age of fourteene years for y use of y said Alice and that if y female increase Should Come
to many itt Shall bee att y pleassure of y said Charles Hall her father or her guardian or guardians to Convert
them to other use for y good & bennefitt of y said Alice as hee or they Shall thinke Convenient The said Alice
not to Dispose of y said heifer or any of her female increase untill Shee cometh to y age of fourteene yeares
without y Consent of her father or guardian or guardians and in case y said Alice should bee taken away by
Death before Shee cometh to y age of fourteene yeares then y said heifer & increase aforesaid to bee y absolute
proper Cattle of y youngest Childe eithr Son or Daughter then liveing of y said Charles & Alice Hall att y
time of y Decease of y said Alice Hall younger: In Confirmacon & full assurance of y truth above written
I: y said George Lane Doe hereunto fixe my seale & Sett my hand as y wittnesses subscripcons as testimonys
