57 The Same Day Commrs: as afore
Margarett Callahane appeares before the board being Summoned
in the Lord Proprietaries Sute ffor bearing A bastard Chilld the
said Margarett Acknowledgeth her ffact, And upon oath Deposeth
That the ffather of the said Chilld is Christopher Newgent, The
Cort: orders That for her ffact the said Margarett Shall Cause
A bridge to be buillded over Planners Creeke where mr: George
Johnson and Capta: William Colebourne Shall appointe there
Allexander Draper Security to See the same performed to the
vallue of five hundred pounds of tobacco . ~ ~ ~ ~

The high sherriffe brings before the board Elizabeth Hootton
the wife of William Hootton being by mittimus Committed
into his Custody which is produced before the board and read
Whereas it appeares That Elizabeth Hootton hath Comitted
severall misdeameanors:
These are therefore in the name of the Rt: honble: the Lord Proprietary
to will and Command you to take the body of the said Elizabeth
Hootton into yor: Custody and her in Safety keepe till She be
Legally Discharged hereof faile not as you will answer the
Contrary at yor: perill given under or: hands the 3d: of January
