Caske and thereupon brings his Suite ; / ;

Thomas Wingod Debt to Thomas Lampin in 1673

To Two barrells of Corne - - - - - 200
And the said Thomas Wingod Commeth and Defendeth
himselfe and saith That he never recd: any Corne of Tho:
Lampin but had made a bargaine with him for Corne if
the Sloope Came about And this he prays inquire may
be made by the Contry Therefore it is Commanded the
Sherriffe of this County that he Cause to Come here twelve
good & Lawfull men to make inquire into the premisses
Richard Webb appearess and is Sworne on
the part of y plt: but not taken in writing
the Jury present;
And the same Day to witt the 13th: day of January Came
as well the said Thomas Lampin by Henry Smith
his Attorney And the said Thomas Wingod in his proper
person as the said Jurors to witt Allexander Draper
Cornelius Johnson, Phillip Risdon; John Horsey Henry
Miles; Andrew Whittington; Richard Chambers; William
Turpin; Richard Shockley; John Golldsmith Robert
Cattlin Junr: and Robert Hart, who to say the truth being
summoned Impannelled & sworne upon theire oathes say
that they finde for y plt: to be paid for his Corne with Cost
of Suite, Therefore this Cort: ordrs: Tho: Wingod to pay Tho: Lampin
or his ordr: two hundred pounds of good sound tobacco
