29 The Same Day Commrs: as afore
Edm: Beauchamp Cler: of this Cort: Complaines and saith that he
had taken away from him at the board out of his bag of writings
A painted box the which was found by Thomas Poole in the
Pockett of John Briant; the said Edm: Beauchamp desireth
that the said John Briant be punished According to Lawe.
The Deposition of Edm: Beauchamp taken in
Cort: Sworne Saith
That the said box was the box of yor: Depondet ~ ~
The Deposition of Thomas Poole taken in
Cort: sworne saith
That the said box yor: Deponent upon search made found
it in the Pockett of John Briant; who lyeth here at the bench
The Cort: Demanded of Edm Beauchamp what
he vallued the box at
The said Edm: Beauchamp made answer
that he thought it worth three halfe pence
The Cort: upon mature Consideracon and Deliberacon orders
That ffor his ffact Committed; the Said John Briant be Comitted
into the Sherriffes Custody and that he have ten Lashes
well Laid on upon the bare Back ~ ~ ~ ~

The Cort: adjournes untill the Second Tuesday in January
