unlawfully absented himselfe from his service Contrary to
Articles of Agreement haveing bin absent one Compleat year
and at Length yor: peticionr: findeing the said William Gosse
in the house of John Avery your peticioner was forced to
sue the said John Avery at Lawe before I Coulld obtaine the
said servant which put your peticioner to A greate deale
of trouble and Charges being thereby Damnified to the
value of three Thousand pounds of tobacco the premisses
Considered by your worpships your peticioner with the
Consent of the aforesaid William Gosse refer themselves
to your Judicious Judgements and as in duty bound Shall
Pray
Benjamin Cottman and William Gosse appeare before
the board, And then and there the said William Gosse
ingageth to serve the said Benjamin Cottman the terme
in such Imployment as he the said Benjamin or his
order Shall Imploye him; from the 12th: March last past
untill the full terme of three yeares be expired ~ ~

The same Day Commrs: as afore
Know All men by these presents that I Allexander Jemison of
the County of Sommersett in the Province of Maryland hath
granted bargained Solld and Delivered unto ffrancis Roberts
of the County aforesaid A light gray mare with her encrease
forever To have and to hold the same mare with her
& her encrease unto him the said ffrancis Roberts his
executors: and assignes forever; And I the said Allexander
Jemison for me my heires executors: and administrators:
