(9 fourteene or fifteene years the same branch mr: Revell
Landed at on the Left hand goeing up the branch and then
bought the Land that he hath now in his pattent and further
saith not;/ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
The Deposicon of Henry Hooper aged Sixty three years or thereabouts
taken before mr: John Winder the 10th: day of August Ao: Do: 1670 ~ ~
Sworne Saith About thirteene or fourteene years agoe it was my fortune
to meete with an Indian in the sound; comeing to trade for
Corne meeting A vessell Comeing from Rappehanock wee went into
Manoakin river to the Indian towne to the forke which is called
Tradeing branch wee mett three vessells, and knowe no other
tradeing branch and ffurther saith not; ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
& desires that they may be Sworne
The aforsd summoned severall wittnesses^ whose names are as ffoll
mr: Stephen Horsse John Westlack, nicholas ffountain, Christopher Nutter; Thoms
Poole; Edmund Beauchamp; John Johnson negro; James Davis
and George Mitchell they all appeare before the Court ~ ~
The Deposicon of mr: Stephen Horsy aged fifty years or thereabouts ~
taken in Cort: the Jury present ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Sworne Saith Richard Ackworth was at me to Survey a peece of Land the other
side the Creeke I asked mr: Revell whether he was Concerned
in it; and mr: Revell made me answer that he did see I was
his frinde (which was before mr: Revell had a pattent for y Land
mr: Revell liveth upon ) And told me that he woulld give me
warrants to Survey two necks for some gentlemen of
James river pointing his hand over the Creeke, I was then
near Ackworths or betweene Owen Mackra and Ackworth
I did Survey one neck for Capta: Bridger and Cronch the
other for Capta: Glanville and Nasworthy; Sometime after
this mr: Revell he quarrelled with me and asked me why I
surveyed
