Surveyed his Land; I told him I had not caryed it away
from him; if it was his there it is and further saith not;/
The Deposicon of Nicholas ffountaine aged thirty years or thereabouts

Sworne Saith: I went along with mr: Elzey and Collonell Scarburgh to
rackcoone pointe and then they Sett the Compas and
began to Survey and came up the neck as farr as the
Cross ffence and then I left them and they went fore-
ward how farr they went I doe not knowe, but when
they came againe they said mr: Revells Land runs as
ffarr as the tradeing b ranch where the tradeing branch
is I doe not knowe. And Awhile after mr: Revells Sonne
went to Seate upon the neck that is called the fforke and
John Johnson was to goe and live with him and further
Saith not; ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
John Johnson negro appeares before the board the Jury present
And before the takeing of his Oath the Commissioners asked
him whether he has been baptized the said John Johnson
made answer he was baptized; Afterwards they asked him
if he did rightly understand the takeing of an Oath the said
John Johnson gave them A Satisfactory answer & was permitted
to Swear in the Cause depending ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

that they did run the Line Along the back Creeke and then
was A tree markt some where about the old feilds against
Thomas Davis, And he Said that was the head Line of
