vers: Trespass they appeare before the Cort:
Phillip Berre deft:
Sommersett County Ss
Phillip Berre late of Sommersett County was Summoned
to answer unto Richard Munt in a plea of Trespass &c
And whereupon the said Richard Munt by Thomas Jones
his Attorney saith that the said Phillip did on the twentieth
day of september in the nine & thirtieth year of the Dominion
of Caecilius &c by force of Armes as Swords Staves & knives
breake the Close of him the said Richard nere the back Creeke
Adjoyning to Manoakin river And did tear & cutt up Tread
downe & Carry away the Corn of him the said Richard then
thereon growing to the vallew of one thousand pounds of tobacco
& other enormityes to him he did whereupon he saith that he
is Dampnified And hath Dammagge to the vallew of two thousand
pounds of tobacco, And thereupon he brings his Suite &c
