pro quer Tho Jones in a plea of trespas The plt: appeares before y board
vers upon the Case The deft: being Not mett with &
James Mills deft: writt returned non est Invts: being
called three times The plt: pduces
this ffollowing writing wch: is read Articles of Agreement betweene mr: James Mills of the one
party & Thomas Willys of the other part Signifieth that I
the said Thomas Willis doe Covenant with the aforesaid James
Mills to Serve him from the Day of the Date hereof the terme of
one full year In such service as he y Sd: Mills his master
Shall imploy him only excepted beating at the morter & grinding
at the mill. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
In Consideracon whereof I the said James Mills Doe covenant
& promise to pay unto the abovesaid Tho: Willis the full & Just
Summe of two thousand eight hundred pounds of good marchantable
tobacco & Caske to be paid Conveniently in Pocomoke river &
the above Mills to find him Convenient lodging & diett
during y tearme of twelve months in wittnes whereof the
abovesaid parties have Interchamgeably Sett to their hands
November y 19th: 1669 ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
This Postscript writt before Signed that James Mills his
heires executrs: admrs to pay or cause to be paid to y above
