Vers: in a plea of Debt, they both appeare before the board
Thomas David Carpentr: deft
Sommersett Ss Thomas Davis Carpenter was attached to answer
James Weedon in a plea of Debt ~ ~ ~ ~
Whereupon the said James Weedon saith that the said
Thomas Davis Carpentr: past bill for foure hundred &
thirty pounds of tobacco & Caske: the same tobacco being
Long Since Due is Still unsatisfied whereupon James
Weedon saith he is Damnified & hath Losse & thereupon
brings his Suite &c. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
The plt: pduceth his bill wch: is read as ffoll.
This bill bindeth me Thomas Davis of Many Carpenter my
hieres executors: or administrators: to pay or cause to be paid
unto James Weedon of Pocomoke, his executors: or assignes
the Summe of foure hundred & thirty pounds marchantable
tobacco & Caske for A valuable Consideracon received to be
made good in the hands of mr: John White of Pocomoke upon
demand in Wittnes whereof I have hereunto Sett my hand
& Seale this 3d: of ffebruary 1668
