Saith That David Browne did promise me that he woulld pay mr: Johnson
& I Shoulld have the pattent in Cort: & further Saith not ~ ~ ~

Saith The Deposicon of Samuell Jackson taken in Cort: Sworne
That when I was up at mr: Garis in Dorsett County in Little Choptanck
I heard David Williamson tell Thomas Cendall that he had Sold
his house for to make Satisfaccon to mr: Johnson for the pattent
and to Cleare his Land & further Saith not. ~ ~ ~ ~

Know All men by these presents that I Richard Webb of the
County of Somersett in the province of Maryland have &
by these presents doe Constitute ordayne & appoynte & depute
my trusty & wellbeloved friend Jeremia Hooke of y County
& Province aforesaid Carpenter to be my true & Lawfulls
attorney for me & in my name to aske Sue for Leavy require
recover & receive all Such Summe or Summes of tobacco as
Shall be made appeare due to me (from John Anderson of Pocomoke)
either by bond bill or accompt or any otherwise due from the said
Anderson, giving & granting unto my said Attorney my whole
power Strength & Authoritie in & aboute the premises, and upon
the receipt of such sumes of tobacco to give acquittance &
other dischardges for me & in my name, And doe further
Impower my sd: attorney to Constitute ordaine & depute undr:
him one or more attorneys, if occasions Shoulld be, And what
my sd: attorney doth in the Law for the recovery of all Such
summes of tobacco, for me & in my name to execute &
performe, & dischardges to Signe Seale & deliver; Shall be as
full ample & Legall in every respect to all Intents
