(24 Know all men by these presents that I Anne Dashiell of
the County of Sommersett Spinster have Constituted appointed
and given full power and Commission unto my Loving frind
George Johnson of the County aforesaid to be my Lawfull
Attorney for me & in my behalfe to repayre to the Court
helld in the aforesaid County of Sommersett and there to make
and acknowledgement of five hundred acres of Land Lyeing
on the South Side of Wiccocomoco river in Somersett County
aforesaid being the moiety of a parcell of Land Called the
Dispence and for me and in my name to acknowledge A
Deed of Sale or allienacon for y Land aforesaid unto Thomas
Roe of the same County aforesaid his heires executors: administrs
or assignes for ever, ratiefieing & allowing Irrevocable which
my said attorney Shall doe in the premisses wittnes my hand
& Seale this third day of november 1670 ~ ~ ~ ~

these presents doe bargaine sell & deliver unto Thomas Sommers
of great Manny aforesd: one black Cowe with a starr in her forehead
Cropt in the Left & two nicks under the right ear, & further Be
it knowne that I Sarah Denwood doe binde my Selfe my
heires executrs, admrs or assignes in the penalty of A thousand
pounds
