Sommersett County in the province of Maryland Inholder Doe
by these presents Constitute ordaine & appointe my trusty frind
George Hasfurt of y County & province aforesaid Chirurgeon to
be my true & Lawfull attorney & Deputy for me & in my name
& to my proper use to aske demand require, recover & receive
by order of Lawe or other wise all Such Summe or Summes of
tobacco or meats as Doe or may appeare to be due to me by
Books, bill, bond, or any other Specialty from all or any person
or persons now Inhabiting or dwelling in any part of y aforesd
County of Somersett; & in my name & to my proper use &
behoofe to Sue psue arreast, Implead or Imprison all or any
person or persons Soe indebted to me & in my name to impl(oy)
Lawe & obteine ayde, favour, Justice, Judgement, & execucon --
& if he Shall See fitt from prison or execucon to Deliver & in
my name to appeare in all Corts: & places my person to repre-
sent; & Acquittances or other Lawfull discharge or dischardges
in my name to Signe Seale & deliver, and to doe all things
as I my Selfe might doe (in the premises) if personally pr:sent
Ratiefieing for firme good & effectuall & of full power & force
whatsoever my said attorney Shall Lawfully doe or cause to be
don in the premisses, In wittnes whereof I the Abovesaid
Ambrose Dixon have hereunto sett my hand & Seale this
