Capta Wm: Colebourned plt: plea of Capta: Wm: Colebourne riseth from the board
vers. trespas
Tho: Hues deft: upon
the Case
Sommersett Ss the plt: & Thomas Hues Late of this County was attached
deft: being to answer unto Capta: William Colebourne in
called appears A plea of trespass upon the Case &c ; / ;
And y decln:
read vizt.
And whereupon the said Capta: William Colebourne
for himselfe saith That whereas the said Thomas
Hues ffrequently resorting to the said Captas: house
hath abused the same by Carnall Copulacon with
A woman Servant belonging to the said Capta: named
Helena Johnson the said Helena affirming that the
Chilld Shee lately was delivered of in the month of June
last the first day there of was begotten by the said
Thomas Hues; haveing by severall faire pretences
& Importunate prSwashsions Deluded her the said Helena
And eSpecially by his promises of marriage; Inticed
her to bring her to have his Lustfull desires in private
accomplished; soe that the said Helena hath bin
& Still is unable of her master the said Capta:
William Colebournes Imployements the said Capta:
haveing not onely thereby lost her Service which
She ought to have performed but alsoe bin at
greater Chardges & trouble in his house about
