115 This Indenture made the eighteenth day of ffebruary
in the XXXiXth: of the Dominion of the Rt: hon:ble Caecilius
Absolute Lord and Proprietary of the Province of Maryland
and Avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore And in the year
of our Lord one thousand Six hundred & seaventy Betweene
Thomas Meech late of Sommersett County in the province of
Maryland Plantor: And Allexander Jemison of the County
And province aforesaid of the other part Wittnesseth
That whereas the said Lord Baltemore by his Deed of Grant
under his great Seale used in the said Province of Maryland
for granting of Land there bearing date at St Maries the
Second day of november in the XXXvi year of his Lopps:
Dominion over the Sd: province of Maryland Ao: Do: one
thousand six hundred sixty eight Did for y Consideracon
therein mentioned grante unto Thomas Meech A parcel
of Land Called Meeches hope Lyeing on the east Side of
Chesapeake Bay in the County of Somersett aforesaid in
A river Called nanticoke on the southermost Side of the said
river in A Creeke called nanticoke Creek on the eastermost
Side of the said Creeke at the head thereof beginning for
bredth at A markt gumme Standing in the Line of John
Moore & from thence north west forty perches to a markt
gumme Standing at the head of Watiponen Creeke aforesaid
& from thence running downe the eastermost Side of the said
branch
