(11 The Deposicon of James Davis aged thirty two years or thereabouts
taken in Cort: the Jury present ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Sworne Saith This I have heard mr: Revell say that a peece of Land Just over
in the Indian neck; that which you call the Lower ffork I did
heare mr: Revell Say that he woulld have mr: Horsy Survey it
for Capta: Glanvile; but did heare mr: Revell Say that he did
Let him have that Land: Gentlemen when I came up first
there came up with me Capta: Bridger and George Nasworthy
to take up some Land in this province and inquired of mr: Revell
whether he coulld give them a Light for any Land to take up upon
which mr: Revell wished them to goe along with him to Wiccocomoco
when they came there George Nasworthy did not Like; Sayes mr:
Revell I will See you have some of my Land, mr: Revell being
goeing for Accomack desired his wife to goe along with him and
my Selfe into the Indian Nck to Shewe him a peece of Land
there; Soe wee went with mrs: Revell to the first fork, it being
Late in the afternoon I being unwilling to goe any further;
persuaded her to goe no further but Let some of her men goe
along with mr: Nasworthy which they did and Shewed him and
when he came back againe mr: Revell asked him how he liked it
and he said very well and further saith not; / ; ~ ~ ~
The Cause depending is resserved till to morrow morning
And ordered that the Jury give their attendance then
to heare the Deposicons of other Wittnesses ~ ~
