88 MARYLAND COURT OF APPEALS

did Eject and other harms to him did to the great Damage of him the Sd Wil-
liam and agt the Peace etc.

And whereupon the Said William Alderne by Wm Dent his Attorney
Complains that whereas the afd Mary Royston the first day of January 1694
att Tredhaven in Talbott County Did demise to him the Said Wm Aldern
the Plantation and premises afd with the Appurtenances to the Same belong-
ing as afa to have and to Occupy to him [133] the Said William Aldern and
his Assignes from the first day of Janry afd untill the full End and terme of
three Years from thence next Ensuing and fully to be Compleat and Ended
by Virtue of which Demise the afd William into the Plantation aforesaid
with the appurtenances did Enter and was thereof Possessed and So thereof
possessed the aforesaid Isaack afterwards that is to Say the ioth day of Janry
afd by force and Arms etc. into the Plantation and Premisses afd with the
Appurtenances wch the aforesaid Mary Royston to him the Said William Al-
derne had demised for the terme afd wch is not yet past did Enter and him
from his farm afd did Eject and other harms to him did doe to the great
Damage of the Said William Aldern and agt the peace etc. Whereupon he
Saith he is the Worse and hath Damage to the Value of 20000 pfls of Tobba
and thereupon he bringeth his Suite etc.

Unless you or those under whom you Claime do att the next Provll
Court to be held att Ann arundell Town in Annarundell County the Second
Tuesday in August next appear to this decl and make him or themselves
Defts thereunto and by Rule of Court Confess Lease Entry and Ejectment
and insist onely on the title the deft in this Deci will Confess Judgmt and
possession will Accordingly be delivered to the plaintiffe

To John Stonnard and Isaack Seserson Tents in Possession of the
prmisses wthin mentioned,

And the Said Isaack Seserson by Robt Gouldsborrough his Attorney
Cometh and defendeth the force and Injury when etc. and Saith that he is
not guilty of the Trespass and Ejectment afd and of this he puts himselfe upon
the Country.

Command was therefore Given to the Sherriffe of Annarundell County
that forthwith he Cause to Come here Twelve etc. by whom etc. wrho neither
etc. because as well etc. to recognize etc. and the Sherriff made return thereof
that he had there ready twelve etc. as by his precept he was Commanded
(Vizt) Philip Lynes, Benja Williams, James Berry, John Duvall Robert Atchi-
son, Thomas Willson Nicholas Fountaine, William Robinson, John Graves,
John Wells, John Stuart and William Luddell.

Now here att this day to witt the Twenty first day of October in the year
of our Lord 1697 Came as well the Said Wm Aldern by William Dent his
