Inspected into We May further doe therein for the Correcting that Error
What of Right and According to the Law and Customs of the Kingdom of
Great Brittain and this Our Province of Maryland shall be to be Done Witt-
ness Our self at the City of Annapolis this First day of August in the Four-
teenth Year of Our Dominion etc: Annoque Dom: 1728.

The Record and Process whereof within Mention is made with all
things Concerning the Same to the Honrble Court of Appeals to be held at
the City of Annapolis at the Day Within Contained is Sent in a Certain Rec-
ord to this Writt Annext. Signed Per ordr Vachel Denton Clk Cur Provin:

Read and Allowed and ordered Record to be sent According to the
Tenour Hereof. William Lock.

In the Record and Proceedings of the Provinciall Court of the Province
of Maryland Amongst other things is Contained as followeth Vizt:

MARYLAND ss: At a Provinciall Court held at the City of Annapolis in
the County of Ann Arundell for the Province of Maryland on the third
tuesday of May being the 2 ifit Day of the same month in the fourteenth Year
of the Dom" of the R' Honrble Charles absolute Lord and Propry of the
Provinces of Maryland and Avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore etc: Annoque
Dom: 1728.

Were Present: The Honrble William Lock; Roger Woolford; Phillip Lee;
John Smith; Benja Tasker, Esqr8 Justices. James Govane Sherr: Vachel Den-
ton Clk:

[MH] Francis Skirvin v [JG] Richard Willis

MARYLAND sst Richard Willis late of Dorchester County Genl One of
the Coroners of the Same County was Summoned to answer unto Francis
Skirvin of a Plea that he render unto him the Sum of Eighty four Pounds
fourteen Shillings and two Pence Sterl: money of Great Brittain which Unto
him he Oweth and And [sic] Unjustly Detaineth etc:

And Whereupon the same Francis by Michl Howard his Attorney saith
that whereas the Afores" Francis the Ninth day of March Anno Dom: Seven-
teen Hundred twenty and four in Dorchester County Court before Majr
[822] Henry Ennalls and his Associates then the Right Honrble the Lord
Propry that now Is his justices of the same Court To Witt at Cambridge
Town in Dorchester County Afsd by Consideration of the same justices had
Recovered agt a Certain Charles Ungle, by the name of Cha: Ungle of Dor-
chester County Gen* As well a Certain Debt of Eight thousand and thirty
Pounds of Tobacco as four Hundred fourty and One pounds of Tobacco
which to the same Francis in the same Court there were Adjudged for his
Costs and Damages which he had Sustained by Occasion of the Detention of
