MARYLAND COURT OF APPEALS 47

Alt a Court holden att Newtown the first Tuesday of June being the
fifth Day in the Sixth Year of the reign of our Sovreign Lord and Lady Wil-
liam and Mary King and Queen of England etc Anno Dni 1694 And there
Continued untill the 6th Day of the Said Month before their Matys Justices
thereunto Authorized and Appointed.

Present: Gent Justices Mr John Wattson of the Quorum; Mr Richard Clouds;
Capt Edward Greenhalgh.

H: Denton Clk.

The Court Adjourns untill the last Tuesday of this month. Command-
ing all Writts Precepts and Process to Continue in the Same force power
and Effect untill then.

Att a County Court holden att Newtown by Adjournmt the last Tuesday
of June being the 26th day [66] in the Sixth Year of the reigne of our Sover-
eign Lord and Lady William and Mary King and Queen of England etc.
Anno Dni 1694 and there Continued Untill the 27th day of the Said Month
before their Matys Justices thereunto Authorized and Appointed by a New
Comission from their Said Matys

Present: Capt John Dent; Mr Richd Clouds, Gent of the Quorum; Mr Philip
Briscoe; Capt Thomas Waughop; Mr John Lowe, Gent Justices

The Defendant brought their Matys Writt of Habeas Corpus but the
Same was not Allowed it being not Signed According as the Law requires

Att a County Court holden att Newtown the Seaventh Day of August
being the first Tuesday in the Sixth Year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord
and Lady William and Mary King and Queen of England etc. Annoque Dni
1694 and there Continued untill the Ninth Day of the sd month before their
Matys Justices thereunto Authorized and Appointed

Present: Capt John Dent of the Quorum; Mr Philip Briscoe; Capt Thomas
Waughop; Mr John Lowe, Gent Justices Hen. Denton ak

Col Copleys Admr agt Miles Burrough

Their Matys Writt of Habeas Corpus to remove the Body of Miles Bur-
rough together with the Cause of his Caption being read here was by the
Court Admitted and Allowed of.
