[64] Att a Provinciall Court held att S^t Marys City in S^t Marys County the
Tenth day of May in the Sixth Year of the Reigne of our Soveraign Lord and
Lady King William and Queen Mary etc. Annoque Dni 1694. Before their
Matys Justices thereunto Authorized and Appointed Viz^t:
The Hon^Me S^r Thomas Laurence Barr"; Col Nicholas Greenbery; Col
Charles Hutchins; Col David Brown; Thomas Tench Esq^r; Robert King;
John Wattson; John Addison, Esq^rs Justices

Command was Given to the Justices and Sherriffe of S^t Marys County
That Whereas Miles Burrough late of S^t Marys County Inholder is Deteined
in our Prison of Your s^d County att the Suite of Thomas Tench Esq^r Adm^r
of all and Singular the Goods and Chattells of Lyonell Copley Esq^r Deceased
of a plea of Trespass upon the Case as it is Said We Therefore Comand You
that the Body of the Said Miles Burrough by what name Soever he be Called
or known together with the Cause of his Caption and Deteining Yo have
under Safe and Secure Conduct before our Justices of our Provinciall Court
to be held att the City of S^t Marys the first Tuesday in October next that full
and Speedy Justice may be Done to the Said partyes in the premisses hereof
You are not to faile as You will Answer the Contrary att Your perill and have
you there this Writt Witness S^r Thomas Laurence Barr^tt Chiefe Justice of out
Said Court the 15^th day of May in the Sixth Year of our Said Reign etc. Anno-

Which Said October Court then Next following was by the Command
of his Excellency the Governo^r Adjourned untill the Sixth day of November
then Next Ensueing. Notwithstanding November Court Return was made
of [65] the Said precept in these Words

By Vertue of the within Writt we have Caused the Body of the Within
Named Miles Burrough with the Cause of his Caption to be removed accord-
ing as we were Commanded

William and Mary by the Grace of God of England Scottland France and
Ireland King and Queen Defenders of the Faith etc. To the Sherriffe of S^t
Marys County Greeting We Command you that you take Miles Burrough
late of S^t Marys County Inholder if he Shall be found in Your Bailywick and
him Safe keep So that you have his Body before the Justices of our County
Court to be held at Newtown the first Tuesday of June next to Answer unto
Thomas Tench Esq^r Adm^r of all and Singular the Goods and Chattells of
Lyonel Copley Esq^r late Governo^r of Maryland Deceased of a plea of Trespass
upon the Case hereof faile not att Your perill and have you there this Writt.
