Seward. This Deponant Saith that he knoweth Mary and Anne Seward
the Supposed Daughters of William Seward and that he knew William Sew-
ard the SupposedJ of George Seward but that he did not know the afd George
Seward Nor Knoweth Nothing of the afd George Sewards Takeing up or
Surveying any Land but that his Mother told him that about Two years after
his fathers Decease there was Some people at his Mothers, who they were he
does not know and Desired his Mother to Shew them the Warrant of the
Land Surveyed by his father for George Seward According to the Certificates
of his fathers books and Sometime after they were gone he Came there and
asked his Mother what Came of the Warrt of the Land that was Surveyed for
George Seward and She Said that it was burnt, he Asked her who Burnt it and
She Said She did but he Said that he heard his father Say that the Land did
belong to William Sew Seward [sic]. And further to those Interrogatories he
Cannot Depose. The Execution of this Commission doth appear in Certain
Schedules to this Commission Annexed. Depositions of Wittnesses Taken
at the Town of Cambridge in the County of Dorchester on Wednesday taken
the Twenty Eight day of August in the year of our Lord God one Thousand
Seven hundred and Seventeen before Capt Tobias Pollard John Meekeins
and John Kirke Gentn1 by Vertue of a Commission out of the high Court of
Chancery to us directed for the Examination of Wittnesses

Interrogatories to be ministred to Wittnesses to be produced on the part
and behalf of Mary and Anne Seward Daughters of Wm Seward by Benj8
Woodward and Uxr Comp"8 and Thomas Hicks Deft in a Cause Depending
in the High Court of Chancery etc. as followeth
[664] Imprimis. Do you know Mary and Anne Seward daughters of Wil-
liam Seward Deced. And Did you know George Seward the Supposed of
William Seward. This Deponent as to the first Interrogatory Saith She
knows Nothing. This Deponent as to the Second Interrogatory Says She
knows Nothing. This Deponent as to the third Interrogatory Says She knows
Nothing. This Execution of this Commission doth appear in Certain Sched-
ules to this Commission Annexed. Deposition of Wittnesses Taken at the
Town of Cambridgee in the County of Dorchester on Wednesday the Twenty
Eight Day of August in the year of our Lord God One Thousand Seven hun-
