MARYLAND ss. Att a Provinciall Court held att the City of Annapolis
in Annarundell County for the Province of Maryland the Second Tuesday
of July being the thirteenth day of the [307] Same month in the thirteenth
year of the Reigne of our Soveraigne Lady Queen Anne etc. Annoque Doni
Seventeen hundred and fourteen

Present: The Honble Wm Holland Chief Justice; Robert Bradley; Samuel
Young, Esqra Justices

[T:M:W:H:] William Fitzredmund Lessee of Charles Carroll Esqr
v [T:B:D:D:] George Eskridge

MARYLAND ss. George Eskridge late of Charles County Gent, was at-
tached to answer unto Wm Fitzredmond of a Plea wherefore with force and
armes into two messuages five out houses one orchard and into twelve hun-
dred Acres of Land part of a Tract of Land lyeing at the head of Wicko-
comoco River near the Creeck Called the Herring Creeke, the Said Tract
being Called westwood manner and beginning at a marked oake Standing
near the Said Creek and bounding on the South with a Line drawn East
from the Said oake unto a Creek Called westwood Creeke to a marked oake
Standing near the Said Creek on the East with a Line drawn north up the
Creeke from the Said Oake for the Length of Six hundred Sixty and four
perches on the north with a Line drawne west from the End of the former
line untill it Intersect a parrelell Line drawn from the first marked Oake
by the herring Creek on the west with the Said Creek and parrelell Contain-
ing and layd out for Sixteen hundred [308] Acres more or less with the ap-
purtenances in Charles County which Charles Carroll Esqr to the Same Willm
Fitzredmond did demise for a Terme of years which is not yet passt Entred
and him from his Farme af" did Eject and other harmes to him did doe to the
Great damage of the Same William and against the Peace of our Soveraigne
Lady the Queen that now is etc. And whereupon the Said William Fitzred-
mond by Thos Macnemara his attorney Complaines that wras the Said Charles
Carroll the nineteenth Day of May in the year of our Lord God one thou-
sand Seven hundred and Eleven att Charles County did demise and to farm
lett unto him the Said William Fitzredmond all and Singular the premises
with the appurtenances to have and to hold the Same unto him the Said Wil-
liam Fitzredmond his Exrs admrs and assignes from the Said nineteenth Day of
may afd unto the full End and terme of Seven years from thence next Ensue-
ing fully to be Compleat and Ended by virtue of wch Demise the Said Wil-
liam Fitzredmund into all and Singular the premises with the appurtenances
did Enter and was thereof possessed, and being So thereof possessed the Said
George Eskridge afterwards that is to Say the twenty Second day of May aF
in the year afsd at Charles County afsd into all and Singular the premises with
the appurtenances which the Said Charles Carroll in form afsd did demise
