In the Records and Proceedings of Her Majestys Provinciall Court
amongst other things is thus Contained as follows Vizt

MARYLAND ss At A Provinciall Court of our Sovereigne Lord the King
holden at Annapolis in Ann Arundell County the Seaventh day of October in
the Thirteenth Yeare of the Reigne of his said Majesty etc. Annoque Dmi
1701 before his Majestys Justices thereunto Assigned and there continued
untill the Eighteenth day of the same Month on which said Seaventeenth day
of October

Were present: The Honourbfe Coll Jno Tompson; Mr James Saunders; Mr
Phill: Hoskins; James Keech, Esqrs

Halls Administrator agt Edmondsons Heir

MARYLAND ss. James Edmondson late of Talbott County gentn Son
and heir of John Edmondson his father late of the same County Merchant
otherwise calld John Edmondson of Talbot County in the Province of Mary-
land Merchant was Sumoned to answer unto Hugh Hall Administrator of all
and Singular the goods chatties rights and Creditts of Hugh Hall his father
deceased of A plea that he render unto him the said Hugh the Sume of Two
hundred Forty two pounds Sterling which he oweth him and Unjustly
detaineth.

And Whereupon the said Hugh Hall by William Dent his Attorney
saith that the said James Edmondson in his life time whose [217] Son and
heir the said James Edmondson is (that is to say the Eldest son of the said
John Edmondson lawfully begotten and borne in Marriage the Twenty fifth
day of Aprill in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Six hundred Eighty
nine at Berbadoes that is to say at the Port of Annapolis in Ann Arundell
County by his certain writing obligatory with the said John Edmondsons
Seale signed Acknowledged himself to be bound to the said Hugh Hall the
father deceased in the Sume of Two hundred Forty two pounds Sterling to
be paid to the said Hugh Hall when he the said John Edmondson should be
thereunto required to the which payment well and truely to be made the
said John Edmondson bound himself and his heires firmly by the said Writ-
ing obligatory Nevertheless the said Jno Edmondson in his life time and the
said James Edmondson the Son and heir at Law of the said John after his
death the said Summe of Two hundred Forty two pounds Sterling to the
said Hugh Hall the father or to the said Hugh Hall the Son after his death
to whom Administration of all and Singular the goods chatties rights and
Creditts of the said Hugh Hall the father after his death in due forme of
