    II. Be it Enacted, by the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietary, by and 
with the Advice and Consent of his Lordship's Governor, and the Upper and 
Lower Houses of Assembly, and the Authority of the same, That the same Act
shall be Perpetual, and is hereby continued, to be and remain in full Force
for ever.

    of Ships, and Vessels, from clandestinely carrying Servants
    and Slaves, or Persons Indebted, out of this Province.  Lib.

WHEREAS an Act of Assembly of this Province, made at a Session
of Assembly, begun and held at the City of Annapolis, on the Second
Day of October, One Thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty-three,
entitled, An Act to prevent Masters of Ships, and Vessels, from clandestinely
carrying Servants and Slaves, or Persons Indebted, out of this Province,
hath since, by Experience, appeared to be a good and wholesome Law, and
very beneficial to the People of this Province:

    II.  Be it therefore Enacted, by the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietary, 
by and with the Advice and Consent of his Lordship's Governor, and the Upper
and  Lower Houses of Assembly, and the Authority of the same,
That the same Act
shall be Perpetual, and is hereby continued, to be and remain in full Force
for ever.

An ACT continuing an Act, entitled, A Supplementary Act to the Act, entitled,
    An Act ascertaining the Height of Fences, to prevent the Evil occasioned
    by the Multitude of Horses, and restraining Horse Rangers within this Province,
    and to redress the great Evil accruing to this Province, by the Multiplicity of
    useless Horses, Mares, and Colts, that run in the Woods.  Lib.
H.S.  fol. 438.
   
1750, ch. XXV.  Hereby continued, &c. for and during the Term of Three Years, and 
unto the End of the next Session of Assembly which shall happen after the Expiration of the said

Parol Gifts of Negroes, and other Slaves, where the Donor hath
retained the Possession and Use, is productive of Disputes and Law
Suits, and hath a tendency to introduce Corruption and Perjury, and that
such Gifts have been often established upon very slight and suspicious Testimony;
