Arms and Ammunition, and for supporting County Schools, by him remitted,
pursuant to an
Order of the General Assembly, to William Hunt, Merchant in London,
and remaining in the Hands
of the said William Hunt, who had refused to pay
the Draught of the Petitioner James Hollyday,
for Part of the said Balance, apprehending that the said Petitioner had
no Right to draw for the
Money remitted to him the said William Hunt, by the said late Treasurer,
&c.

An Act to impower the Justices of Somerset and Worcester
Counties, to levy on
the Taxable Inhabitants of Coventry Parish,
partly in Somerset and Worcester
Counties, the Quantity of Sixty-two Thousand Four
Hundred Pounds of Tobacco,
for the Uses therein mentioned. Lib. H.S.

N.B. By
this Act, (1.) The Vestry and Church-wardens of the said Parish,
are impowered
to purchase in Fee, Two Acres of Land lying in Somerset County,
in the Parish aforesaid, at
some Place between the Head of Coulbourn's Creek and Annimessix
Dams, and thereon to build a
Chapel of Ease, &c. Which Land when so purchased, and Chapel
so built, shall be deemed
the Land and Chapel of Ease of the said Parish, and the said Chapel for
ever hereafter to be supported
and repaired at the Charge of the said Parish. (2.) The said
Vestry, &c. are impowered
to enlarge the Chapel of Ease situate on Dividing-Creek, in the
said Parish. (3.) The Justices
of Somerset and Worcester County Courts, are impowered to
assess and levy on the Taxable Inhabitants
of the said Parish, 62400 lb Tobacco, by Three equal Assessments, in the
Years 1762,
1763, and 1764; together with the Sheriff's Salary of 5 per Cent for collecting
the same; which |
