Gordon, Esq; late Sheriff, having accounted with
the Magistrates for 118 l. Current
Money, arising from Ordinary Licences and Fines on Breach of the Act for
regulating Ordinaries,
which the Magistrates were of Opinion belonged to the County, this Act
impowered
the Magistrates to levy the said Sum on the County, to be paid to the said
George Gordon, &c.

a Chapel of Ease in the
said Parish; and to impower the Justices of the said
County to levy on the Taxable
Inhabitants of the said Parish, c
a Quantity of Tobacco for the Uses therein

11000 lb Tobacco in November 1754, and 33000 lb Tobacco in November
1755, exclusive
of the Sheriff's Salary, to be paid to the Vestry, &c. and by them
be applied to the aforesaid

called the Dressing-Branch;
