The Convention then proceeded to the consideration of the
23rd Article;

Mr. Hollyday submitted the following amendment :
Add at end of Article 23, "on any pretext whatever;"
Which was rejected.
The Convention then proceeded to the consideration of the
24th Article ;
Pending which,
Mr. Ritchie moved to strike out the entire section ;
Pending the consideration of which,
On motion of Mr. Wethered,
At 3 o'clock P. M. the Convention adjourned.
