The proceedings of yesterday were read and approved.
The President laid before the Convention the Report of the
Clerk of the Circuit Court for Prince George's county, con-
taining statement of the number of cases tried in said Court
for the years 1865 and 1866, and number of indictments
found for 1865, 1866 and 1867 ;
Which were read and referred to the Committee upon the
Judiciary Department.
Also, the Report of the Clerk of County Commissioners of
Queen Anne's county, showing the amount of the assessable
property in said county under the late assessment:
OFFICE OF THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS,
FOB QUEEN ANNE'S COUNTY,
Centreville, May 25, 186T.
Hon. R. B, Carmichael,
President Constitutional Convention:
SIR :—In reply to the annexed order, I have the honor to
state that the aggregate amount of assessable property in
Queen Anne's county under the assessment of 1866, is eight
million eight hundred and twenty-eight thousand six hund-
red and fifty-six dollars, ($8,828,656 00.)
Your obedient servant,
JAMES WOOTERS, Clerk.
Which was read and referred to the Committee upon the
Judiciary Department.
Mr. Syester submitted the following order:
Ordered, That the Clerks of the County Commissioners of
the several counties in the State be, and they are hereby re-
spectfully requested to famish to this Convention, at as ear-
ly a day as practicable, a statement of all moneys paid or
ordered to be paid to the several Registers and their Clerks,
is the everal counties, for services ia registering the voters
in their Election Districts; and also, all moneys paid or ord-
ered to be paid for printing listts of registered voters, under
the Registry Laws of this State since their adoption ;
