88 "Journal of the Council"

Office—as also the sum of Seventy five pounds Current Money for five months pay due to the
following persons, and in the following proportions viz—to Michael Standley twelve pounds
ten shillings—to Jacob Standley twelve pounds, ten shillings—to Benjamin Steward twelve
pounds, ten shillings—to Richard Wiley ten pounds—to George Jennings Twelve pounds, ten
Shillings—to John Hancock Two pounds, ten Shillings and to John Salmon Twelve pounds,
ten shillings by virtue of letters of Administrators granted by the Register of Montgomery
County to John Thornton as Administrator of the aforesaid John Salmon—to Christian Ross as
Administrator of Michael Standley and Jacob Standley aforesaid; to Christopher Reed as
Administrator of Benjamin Steward aforesaid—to James Curren Administrator of Richard
Wiley aforesaid, to Michael Lloyd Administrator of George Jennings aforesaid and to Peter
Stephens Administrator of John Hancock aforesaid and by Virtue of Powers given by the
aforesaid John Thornton, Christian Ross, Christopher Reed, James Curren, Michael Lloyd
and Peter Stephens to the said David Lynn produced to and lodged with the Board.

The following proposition was made and assented to:

That a person be appointed on the part of this State to attend the sales of property, which
may be taken in execution, issued at the instance of the State for the two shilling and six penny
fund tax, and to purchase the same for the use of [p. 154] the State, if a Sale cannot
be otherwise made So as to Secure a reasonable price for the property so taken, and to sell and
dispose of to the best advantage, all property so purchased for the use of the State in Virtue of
An Act entitled "An Act to empower the Governor and Council to compound with the dis-
coverers of british property, and for other purposes", passed November Session 1788.

The Council adjourned 'till Monday Morning.

Monday 1st. March 1790

The Council met.

Present as on yesterday.

The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning.

Tuesday 2d. March 1790

The Council met.
