"14 Nov. 1788—12 Nov. 1791" 89

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to John Shaw Fifty eight pounds, eight
shillings due him per Account passed by the Auditor General, and also the further sum of
Thirty seven pounds, ten shillings for three quarters salary as Armourer due the 1st. February
last.

Capt. William Campbell is appointed under the Resolution entered into on Saturday the
27th. February.

The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning.

[p. 155] Thursday 4th. March 1790

The Council met.

Present as on Yesterday.

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Colo. Uriah Forrest Thirty three pounds,
fifteen shillings for three Months half pay due him the 1st. February last.

Commissions issued to Andrew Bruce, Joseph Sprigg, Daniel Cresap, Thomas Beall of
Sam'l., Osborn Sprigg, John Simpkins and Lemuel Barrett appointed Justices of the Peace for
Allegany County and also to John C. Beatty appointed Sheriff of said County.

The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning.

Friday 5th. March 1790

The Council met.

The Hon'ble. James Brice

John Davidson

Randolph B. Latimer Esquires

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Henry Ridgely Seven pounds, ten shil-
lings for one quarter's Salary as Clerk of the Senate due the 1st. February last.
The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning.

Saturday 6th March 1790

The Council met.

Present as on Yesterday.

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Arthur Bryan Fifty pounds for one
quarter's Salary due Solomon Wright as one of the Judges of the Court of Appeals the 1st.
February last.

That the Said Treasurer pay to William Kilty one hundred [p. 156] and fifty
pounds, on account to be accounted for in his Commissions as Agent.

His Excellency the Governor dissents to the above advance.

Robert Smith and James Calhoun were appointed Justices of the Court of Oyer and
terminer and Goal delivery for Baltimore County in the room of Samuel Chase and Lyde
Goodwin resigned, and Commission issued to Robert Smith, John Moale, James Calhoun, Otho
Holland Williams and George Salmon Justices of the said Court.

The Council adjourned 'till Monday morning.
