That the said Treasurer pay to Mrs. Mary Hilleary, Widow of the late Lieut. Rignal
Hilleary Fifteen pounds for three Months half pay due her the 1st. instant.
The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning.

Saturday 21st. November 1789

The Council met.

Present His Excellency John Eager Howard Esquire

The Hon'ble. John Kilty

James Brice

John Davidson

William Hindman Esquires

Ordered that the western Shore Treasurer pay to Joseph Murphy late a Soldier in the
7th. Maryland Regiment Ten pounds five shillings due him, a balance of five Months pay
to 1st. February 81 per Certificate of the Auditor.

The Council adjourned 'till Monday Morning.

Monday 23d. November 1789

The Council met.

Present as on Saturday. [p. 118]

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to James Royston Eight pounds, eighteen
Shillings and eight pence for riding Express per Account passed by the Auditor.

That the Said Treasurer pay to Mary Hays Executrix of Vachel Hays, late a Drummer
of the 2d. Regiment thirteen pounds fifteen shillings for five Months pay to the 1st. January
1781 per Certificate of the Auditor.

The Council adjourned till tomorrow morning.

Tuesday 24th. November 1789

The Council met.

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Mrs. Ann Levascher Fifteen pounds
for three Months half pay due the 1st. Instant.

That the said Treasurer pay to Benjamin Nicholson Esqr. Sixty two pounds, ten
Shillings for one quarter's Salary as Judge of the Court of Admiralty due the 1st. instant.

In Council November 24th. 1789

Isaac Landen of Somerset County by his Petition to the Board sets forth that at June
term 1788, he was fined in the County Court of the said County, five hundred pounds of
Tobacco, as an Overseer of a public road, for not clearing the said road twenty feet wide
clear of ditches, that the neglect proceeded from ignorance it not being expressed in his
