Auditor the 2d. instant.

The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning.

[p. 96] Thursday 27th. August 1789

The Council met.

The Honorable James Brice

John Davidson

William Hindman Esquires

Commission issued to Samuel Chase, John Moale, Otho Holland Williams, Lyde Goodwin
and Samuel Johnston appointed Justices of the Criminal Court for Baltimore County, Samuel
Johnston in place of Thomas Russell deceased.

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to David Lynn, one of the Commissioners
to dispose of the land westward of Fort Cumberland &ca. Forty three pounds, three shillings
and three pence a Balance due to him as per Account passed by the Auditor.

That the said Treasurer pay to the said David Lynn Thirty pounds, fifteen pounds part
thereof to be by him delivered over to Capt. Daniel Cresap and the residue to Major Benjamin
Brookes Commissioners appointed to dispose of the reserved Lands westward of Fort Cumber-
land to be by them Accounted for.

The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning.

Friday 28th. August 1789

The Council met.

Present as on Yesterday.

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to John Burnett late a Soldier of the 5th.
Maryland Regiment Ten pounds a balance of his five Months pay between the 1st. of August
and 31st. December 1780 as per Certificate from the Deputy Auditor.

The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning.

Saturday 29th. August 1789

The Council met.

Present as on Yesterday.

[p. 97] Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to James Williams acting Admin-
istrator of James Tootell late of Ann Arundel County deceased Eleven pounds ten shillings and
four pence specie agreeably to the "Act to adjust the Debts due from this State" per Account
passed this Day by the Auditor P. T.

J. E. Howard,

That the said Treasurer pay to John Shaw Thirty pounds to be by him expended upon
the Necessary within the public Circular and Accounted for—

That the said Treasurer pay to the Executors of Edward Parker late of Caecil County
