The Board took into consideration the application of Mary Magruder late the widow of
Lieutenant Rignal Hilleary, setting forth that she had agreeably to an Act of Assembly
passed at November Session 1785 received during her Widowhood a pension of sixty pounds
per Annum, being a sum equal to the half pay of the said Lieutenant Hilleary who died in the
Service of the United States, That having lately intermarried with a certain Samuel Magruder
of Prince Georges County, her right to the said Pension was forfeited and praying that it
might be continued to her two Children by the said Hilleary.
[p. 214] Whereupon Resolved that the two children of the said Rignal Hilleary be entitled
to receive the aforesaid pension of sixty pounds per Annum from the time that the right of
their Mother to it was forfeited by her second marriage, and henceforeward until the same shall
be discontinued and abolished by the order of this Board or by the General Assembly, that the
said Pension be paid quarterly to the aforesaid Samuel Magruder who is hereby appointed
trustee for the application of the said money to the education and maintenance of the said
Children, and that Bond with security in the sum of One thousand pounds be taken from the
said Trustee conditioned generally for the faithful discharge of his trust, and particularly for
rendering to this Board an Account of the application and expenditure of the monies received
by him on the first day of November next, and annually on the same day during the Continuance
of his said trust.
Bond was accordingly taken and lodged in the Hands of the Clerk.
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Samuel Magruder appointed Trustee
of the Children of the late Lieut Rignal Hilleary Sixty two pounds, ten shillings for half
pay allowed them from 16 Jan'y 1792 to the 1st February last.

Horatio Sharp and Edward Hannah of Baltimore County by their Petition represent,
that they have been severally indicted at the Criminal Court of Baltimore County at August term
for an Assault on a certain Henry Roberts and Margaret his wife, and that on the said
Indictments they have been fined the following sums to wit, Horatio Sharp Eleven pounds, and
Edward Hannah Fifteen pounds, besides incurring very heavy Costs on the Prosecutions.
They set forth and produce the Certificate of several creditable persons to prove that the said
Roberts and his wife are of very bad Character and unworthy of credit; they likewise produce
testimony of their own peaceable Character and deportment, and two Justices of the said
Criminal Court having recommended them to the clemency of the Board it is hereby Ordered
that in consideration of the Heavy Costs incurred as aforesaid the fines above mentioned be
remitted on payment of the Costs.
