Tuesday 6th. November 1792

The Council met.

Present as on Saturday.

The Auditor is requested to issue a Certificate for the Depreciation of pay to Edward
Edwards appointed an Ensign in the 4th Maryland Regiment the 10th December 1776, and who
died on or about the 1st of November 1777, and deliver the same to the Treasurer of the
western shore who is ordered to pay it to William Edwards Brother and Administrator of the
said Edward Edwards.

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Benjamin Mackall Esquire Fifty pounds
for a quarter's Salary as one of the Judges of the Court of Appeals due the 1st instant,

That the said Treasurer pay to John Hanson junior Forty one pounds, twelve shillings
and nine pence Current Money due him per Account passed by the Auditor.

The Auditor is requested to issue a Certificate for the Depreciation of pay to Samuel
Taylor late of the 7th Maryland Regiment, and deliver the same to the Treasurer of the western
shore who is ordered to pay the same to James Ballard in Virtue of a power of Attorney from
Sarah Brereton, Sister and Administratrix of said Samuel Taylor.

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to James Ballard by virtue of a power of
Attorney from Sarah Brereton Sister and Adm'x of Samuel Taylor late fifer in the 7th Mary-
land Regiment, Thirteen pounds, fifteen shillings for pay from the 1st of August until the 31st
of December 1780 per Certificate of the Auditor.

Thursday 8th. November 1792

The Council met.

Present as on yesterday.

The Auditor is requested to issue a Certificate for the Depreciation of pay to Elisha Steel
late of the 1st Maryland Regiment, and deliver the same to the Treasurer of the western shore,
who is ordered to [p. 151] pay it to John Wright in virtue of a power of Attorney
from John Steel Brother and Administrator of the said Elisha.

The said Auditor is requested to issue Certificates for the Depreciation of pay to Lewis
Jones late a fifer in the Second, and to James Jones late a Drummer in the third Maryland
Regiment, and deliver the same to the Treasurer of the western shore who is Ordered to pay
the said Certificates to Philip B. Key Esq'r. by virtue of a power of Attorney from Mary Jones
Sister and Administratrix of the said Lewis and James.

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Henry Ridgely Esq'r. Thirty seven
pounds, ten shillings for one quarter's Salary as a Member of the Council,
