The Auditor is requested to issue a Certificate to Zephaniah Williams late a Private in the
third Maryland Regiment, killed at the Battle of Camden August, 1780, [p. 50] for
the depreciation of his pay, and deliver the same to the Treasurer of the western shore, who is
hereby Ordered to deliver the same to Thomas Williams Brother and Administrator of the said
Zephaniah Williams.

Commissions issued to John Hartshorn and John Evans appointed Coroners of Caecil
County

The Petition of Francis Mercer of Baltimore County praying the Remission of two fines
of fifteen pounds imposed on him by Baltimore County Court of Oyer and Terminer and Goal
delivery at March term last for assaulting Moses Brown and assaulting and wounding Charles
Sater, being read and considered, the same was rejected.

Ordered that the western Treasurer deliver to Mary Downey the widow and Adminis-
tratrix of Dennis Downey late a soldier in the 3d Maryland Regiment, the Certificate of Depre-
ciation made out in the name of the said Dennis Downey.

In Council April 3d. 1792

Charles Ferrell of Charles County by his Petition sets forth that he was fined at last
September term by the Court of Charles County aforesaid the Sum of Six pounds Current
Money for selling Rum without a licence, that it was from inadvertence he committed the
Offence, that he is very poor has a Wife and several small Children to maintain and is not
[p. 51] able to pay the fine. The Chief Justice of the said County and one of the Associates
together with a number of other respectable Characters having recommended the Petitioner on
account of his Wife and Children. The Board are induced to remit the said fine, And do by
this, order and direct that the said fine of six pounds Current Money be remitted upon all Costs
being paid.

At a Meeting of the General Assembly of Maryland pursuant to a Proclamation issued
by his Excellency James Brice Esquire for the purpose of appointing a Governor for the residue
of the year in the room of the late George Plater Esquire deceased, They proceeded to the said
appointment, when the Honorable Thomas Sim Lee Esquire was appointed.

Wednesday 4th. April 1792

Thomas Beale of Baltimore County by his Petition sets forth that he was fined by the
Court of Oyer and Terminer and Goal delivery for the County aforesaid [p. 52] as
follows to wit, Six hundred pounds of Tobacco and thirty shillings Current Money at Novem-
ber term last, and the like quantity of Tobacco and sum of Money at January term following,
