24 "Journal of the Council"

Current Money for the like sum paid by him to Alexander Andrews, the person who appre-
hended and delivered to the Sheriff of Queen Anns County, George Robinson who was under
Sentence of Death and had made his escape from Goal, pursuant to an Advertisement of the
Board of the 12th. March last.

That the said Treasurer pay to William Kilty Fifty pounds to be by him accounted for
out of his Commissions as Agent.

Henry Hollingsworth Esqr., who was appointed an Agent for the purchase and Sale of
property taken in Execution on behalf of the State, for Caecil, Kent and Queen Anns Counties,
having transmitted a Bond executed by himself with Samuel Gilpin Security, the same is ap-
proved of and ordered to be filed.

The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning

Thursday 7th. May 1789

The Council met.

Present his Excellency John Eager Howard Esquire

The honorable James Brice

John Davidson

John Kilty Esquires

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to John Kilty Esqr. Thirty seven pounds
ten shillings for one quarter's Salary as a Member of the Council.
The Council adjourned till tomorrow morning.

Friday 8th. May 1789

The Council met.

Present as on Yesterday.

Colo. William Richardson of Caroline County is hereby appointed an Agent to attend
the Sales of property taken in [p. 69 pagination sic.] Execution at the Instance of the
State in Caroline, Talbot, Dorchester, Somerset and Worcester Counties, to purchase the same,
to receive from the Sheriff or other proper Officer, a legal conveyance for the property so bought
by him and to sell the same to the best advantage for the use of the State.

The Council adjourned till tomorrow morning.
