The Council met.
Present as on yesterday.

Commissions issued to Hezekiah Garner appointed one of the Inspectors of Chickamuxon
warehouse and Ignatius Ryan appointed one of the Inspectors of Nanjemoy Warehouse in

Charles County.

The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning.

Thursday 13th. October 1791.

The Council met.

Present as on yesterday.

Commissions issued to the following persons elected Sheriffs

Henry Hunt for Calvert County

Peter Edmondson for Caroline

Philip Reed Kent

Samuel Maffitt Caecil

John Conrod Beatty Allegany

Summonses issued to Capt. Samuel McPherson, Henry Clements, John Beale Turner and
Henry Massey Hanson to testify on the hearing before the Governor and Council Monday the
24th. of this instant, of the Compliant of Charles Mankin, Benjamin Cawood and William
Brawner that the election for Sheriffs of Charles County was not made regular and agreeably
to the Constitution and Form of Government.

Writs of Election issued to the Sheriffs of Prince Georges and Ann Arundel Counties and
to the Worshipful Mayor, Recorder and Aldermen of the City of Annapolis in the following
Form

Greeting. Whereas by the resignation of William Pinkney Esquire, signified by a

letter to this Board dated the 26th. of September last a vacancy has arisen

J. E. Howard in the representation of this State in the house of Representatives of the

United States; which vacancy in conformity to the direction of an Act of the

last Session of Assembly [p. 341] entitled "An Act directing the time; places and

manner of holding elections for Representatives of this State in the Congress of the United

States; and for appointing Electors on the part of this State for choosing a President and vice

President of the United States, and for the regulation of the said Elections, and also to repeal
