Arms of which he has completely repaired for the use of his volunteer Company of Artillery,
but that these Arms being disproportioned in their length &ca. and his Company prevented
thereby from making a uniform appearance, He prays that in consideration of his trouble in
collecting them the Board will direct the Armourer to deliver him Seventy five stand of the new
Arms with the Accoutrements in Annapolis, for the re-delivery whereof in perfect order on
demand of the Board, he is ready to give ample Security.

Resolved that on Capt. Stodder's giving security as aforesaid, and on his engaging to send
all the Arms in his possession to Mr. Engels Armourer at Frederick Town as soon as a proper
Conveyance offers, Mr. Shaw be directed to deliver him seventy stand of the new Arms &ca.
agreeably to his request, and it is further Resolved that the expence Capt. Stodder has been at
in repairing the Arms and the expence of Transportation to Frederick town be paid by the
public, Capt. Stodder furnishing an Account of the same legally proved.

The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning.

[p. 283] Tuesday 22d. March 1791

The Council met.

Present as on yesterday.

James Calhoun Esqr. who was appointed an Associate Justice for Baltimore County on the
14th. February last having declined to act, James Carroll Esqr. is appointed and Commission
issued to Otho Holland Williams and James Carroll Associate Justices of the said County.

The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning.

Wednesday 23d. March 1791

The Council met.

Pres't. His Excellency John Eager Howard Esqr.

The Hon'ble. Henry Ridgely

John Davidson

John Kilty Esqrs.

Mr. John Hanna and Mr. George Johnson are appointed Clerks to assist the Auditor in
preparing Accounts and Vouchers to be exhibited by Christopher Richmond Esqr. to the
Board of Commissioners appointed to settle the Accounts between the States and the Union.

Resolved that in consideration of the short time the said Clerks will be employed, they be
allowed at the rate of Seventeen pounds ten shillings per Calendar month.

The Hon'ble. Randolph B. Latimer Esqr. attended.

The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning.

Thursday 24th. March 1791

The Council met.
Present as on yesterday.

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Thomas Johnson junr. twelve pounds,
fifteen shillings per Account passed by the Aud. Gen'l.
The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning.
