Wednesday 16th. February 1791

The Council met.

Pres't. His Excellency John Eager Howard Esquire

The Hon'ble. Randolph B. Latimer

John Kilty Esquires

In Council February 16. 1791

John Wilson and Mary his wife of Ann Arundel County by their Petition set forth that
they were fined by the Court of said County on three several Presentments for Breaches of the
Peace, the sum of fourteen Dollars—five Dollars on one, five on the second and four Dollars
on the third, which Petition is accompanied with a transcript of the Proceeding of the said
Court. And it appearing to the Board from the Recommendation of several of the Justices and
other respectable inhabitants of Ann Arundel County aforesaid that the said John Wilson and
Mary are poor, industrious and in good estimation in their Neighborhood, And the said Peti-
tioners having represented that by the payment of the said fines, they would be reduced to much
distress, The Board in Consideration of all the Circumstances do order and direct that the three
several fines aforesaid be remitted on their paying all the Costs accruing on the said
Presentments.
