The Council met.

Present his Excellency John Eager Howard Esqr.
The Honorable James Brice—John Davidson

John Kilty Esquires

[p- 59] Ordered that the following Commissions be allowed to the Persons who may be
appointed by this Board for the purpose of attending the Sales of property taken in execution
at the instance of the State agreeably to an Act of Assembly passed last November Session
entitled "An Act to empower the Governor and Council to compound with the discoverers
of british property and for other purposes."

For purchasing and selling property on the nett sum paid or secured to be paid to
the State 2 1/2 per Cent

For shewing the property and attending the Sale where the property is purchased by
Individuals, and the money actually paid into the Treasury 2 per Cent

For having Executions served should the money be paid without an actual sale, or
should a suspension take place 1 1/2 per Cent

Expence of Advertisements, Deeds, and other incidental Charges, to be paid by the
State.

The Board proceeded to the appointment of one of the Agents for the western shore
for the purpose of carrying into Effect the intentions of the aforesaid Act when William
Kilty Esquire was appointed.

The Council adjourned 'till Monday morning.

Monday 13th. April 1789

The Council met.

Present as on Saturday.

The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning.

Tuesday 14th. April 1789

The Council met.

Present as on Yesterday.

The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning.

Wednesday 15th. April 1789
