said County acknowledged himself indebted to the State of Maryland in the sum of ten pounds
Current Money to be paid to the said State in case he should not make his personal appearance
at the next County Court, that in consequence of the non-appearance of the said James
Spear according to the tenor of his Recognizance aforesaid it was respited from Court to
Court until the Monday before the second Tuesday in June one thousand seven hundred and
eighty eight, and that the said James Spear being then called and not appearing, the said
Recognizance by the Justices aforesaid was adjudged to be forfeited, and it appearing to
the Board by a Certificate signed by three of the Justices of the said County, and of several
other Persons that the said James Spear is poor and indigent, with a large family, and is an
Object worthy the Interposition of the Board: It is hereby directed that the said forfeiture
be remitted on his paying the Costs accruing on the said forfeiture
