The Council met.

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Mrs. Ann Levascher Widow of the late
Lieut. John Levascher Thirty pounds for six Months half pay due the ist. instant.
The Council adjourned till tomorrow morning.

Thursday 25 November 1790

The Council met.

Present as on yesterday.

Agreeably to a Resolution of the General Assembly the Board took into Consideration
the application of Roger Skivington late a Soldier in the Maryland line, who appears by
the documents in the Auditors Office to be returned missing on the i6th of August 1780,
on which day he alledges he was wounded and taken prisoner, and finding that he is unable
by any Kind of testimony to account for never having rejoined the Army, or for having so
long [p. 248] deferred presenting his claim, are of opinion that the terms of the
Resolution aforesaid do not permit them to direct the issuing [of] Certificates of depreciation on
his pay until by the testimony of his Officers, or by some other means he gives a more
Satisfactory account of himself from that time.

The Council adjourned till tomorrow morning.

Friday 26th. November 1790

The Council met.

A Summons from the Supreme Court of the United States on the State of Maryland,
was served on the Governor and Council by a personal Notification of the Deputy Marshall
and by leaving a copy of the said Summons, to appear on the first Monday in February 1791
at Philadelphia, at the Suit of Messrs. Nicholas and Jacob Van Staphorst.

The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning.

Saturday 27th. November 1790

The Council met.

Ordered that the Justices of the several Counties hereafter mentioned pay to General
